From the pictures and notes we are receiving from Mom and Mikayla, it appears that their first two days in Honduras have been quite fabulous. Last night I talked to mom for a short while.  She thought the service with the ladies went very well. It is evident in the pictures that the glory of the Lord came! Today during the morning, she accompanied the other ladies to the women's conference; in the afternoon she ministered at a church and her message was broadcasted on the local radio station. She taught about the be-attitudes in Matthew 5.  It appears that God is doing  astonishing things in the heart's of the women.  In my mother's own words, "Just finished, the Lord came and heaven was brought to earth."  She reports that several ladies were filled with the Spirit.

As for my sister Mikayla, she is traveling up into the mountains and assisting with a building project - tying  re-bar for concrete to be poured and ministering to children.  We will share some pictures of her, later in the week.   Thank you for your prayers!

Mission Update #1 for Honduras 2016

My sister, Mikayla, and my mother, Angela, left for Copan, Honduras this morning around 3am.  Mikayla was overwhelmed with excitement; this is her very first out of the country mission trip! My mother also shared this same excitement. Before they left we prayed, shared communion, and believed for their protection.

My sister will be doing construction work and children's ministry in a small village located in the mountains called La Luguna.  Angela, will be speaking at a women's conference along with several other  women team members.

Right now as I write this blog post they are suppose to have landed in San Pedro Sula, the current population is 1,445,598 the largest city in Honduras next to it's capital Tegucigalpa. From there, they have a four hour drive to Copan. Please continue to pray for their protection and for a greater anointing in their lives to minister the love of Jesus in other people's lives.

My heart is full of great joy and great longing to be with my sister and mother. This is my first time being left behind for a mission trip. I have always been the one to go and do.  Yet, I am trusting God that we are all in His perfect will .  When I am on a mission trip, God always speaks to me louder and clearer than any other time or place.  This is why I long to be there, and also to see Mikayla's reaction to full blown mission work in a totally different culture. My prayer is that God will speak to her and my mother as he always does for me. I am praying for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit this week during their church services and even while they are working. Will you join in praying for signs and wonders to follow their words.

"But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."                                                                                                  Acts1:8
